Overview

The 8240 is a low-priced digital electrometer with 4 1/2-digit display. It can measure voltage with high input impedance of 1013Ω or higher and wide-ranging current from 10fA to 20mA. The electrometer can be used for basic materials research, testing and selecting semiconductors and other electronics components and many other applications including biological research. The 8240 also features such advanced functions as high sampling speed (approx. 25 readings/second at 50Hz and 28 readings/second at 60Hz), a NULL function to automatically suppress offset voltage and dark current, and stable measurement using a 7-step variable integration A/D converter. A GPIB interface is provided to enable a variety of system configurations.
